What is Counselling?
Counselling offers you the chance to pause, step back from the demands of everyday life and make space for yourself. In a confidential and supportive setting, you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings and experiences, knowing you will be met with warmth, empathy and no judgement.
Everyone comes to counselling for different reasons. You may have something specific you would like to work through, or perhaps you simply feel that something in your life needs attention. Wherever you are starting from, we can gently explore what is troubling you, make sense of your experiences and consider what might help you move forward.
Counselling is not about giving you solutions or telling you what to do. Instead, it gives you the time and support to develop your own understanding and discover a way forward that feels right for you. Along the way, you may gain greater self-awareness, recognise patterns in your life and feel more confident in the choices you make.

Why Counselling?
There are times in life when we may feel stuck, uncertain or disconnected from ourselves. Perhaps you are facing a difficult decision, struggling with a relationship, adjusting to change or finding that past experiences continue to affect you. You may even find it difficult to put your feelings into words or understand why things feel the way they do.
You might be used to managing things on your own, putting others first or carrying on regardless of how you feel. Counselling can help you recognise and explore what is happening beneath the surface, giving you the opportunity to reflect on your needs, boundaries and what matters to you.
You don't need to have a clear reason for seeking counselling. If something doesn't feel right, or you simply want to understand yourself better, that is reason enough to begin. Taking time to focus on your own wellbeing can be a valuable step towards greater understanding and a different way of experiencing life.

My Approach
My approach is grounded in Humanistic Existential therapy, which recognises each person as unique, shaped by their own experiences, relationships, values and understanding of the world. At the heart of my work is the belief that a genuine therapeutic relationship, built on empathy, acceptance and trust, creates the foundation for meaningful exploration and personal growth.
I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where we can work together openly and honestly. Through empathy, understanding and acceptance, you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences, knowing that you will be met with respect and compassion. We work at a pace that feels right for you, allowing you the time and space to explore what matters most.
Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships and beliefs that have shaped who you are, alongside the values and expectations that influence how you live your life. We may also consider questions of identity, freedom, purpose and what it means to live in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
